Q. What is Loose Thread Stitchers and how did it get started?
A. Loose Thread Stitchers (LTS) began in 2003 with a singular goal: To create stitching retreats in the Philadelphia area. After months of research, planning and preparation LTS hosted our first retreat Spring of 2004. The weekend was a whirlwind of activities from a wonderfully talented teacher, to prizes, games and a top notch show and tell. We left our first retreat proud of all we accomplished and yet still feeling there has to be more. Little did we know that the journey had just begun….
Loose Thread Stitchers was created to build the needlework community one LOOSE THREAD at a time. Loose Thread Stitchers is dedicated to growing the needlework industry by using the power of the internet to provide informative and interactive activities/services resulting in the largest active needlework society on the internet.

Q. How do I join?
A. It is simple and easy to join Loose Thread Stitchers. First choose if you are registering as a Stitcher or Industry Professional. Then choose a type of membership, Silver Needle or Gold Needle. That’s it, registration is complete and you are now a part of the most comprehensive needlework society available!

Q. How do I find events, products and services in my area or even abroad?
A. To search for events, products and services locally or abroad, follow the 3 steps below.
Choose what type of needlework you are interested in (Cross Stitch, Needlepoint, Sewing, Quilting, Knitting or Crochet).
Then you decide what you are looking for: classes, retreats, designers, shop locations (we have a pretty extensive list).
Decide how you want to sort the information. By State, Keyword, Month, Year, etc.
That's it. The info will populate and you have what you need. No longer will you waste hours searching the internet. Need it. Find it. Get it. As simple as that.
Q. Are there any rules?
A. We are not very big on rules but we have 2 that we feel are important and must be followed:
We welcome all who appreciate, enjoy, and create any type of needlework (cross stitch, needlepoint, knitting, crochet, sewing or quilting). LTS wants members who are passionate about needlework and want to promote the growth of the industry. Creating an environment where needlework is appreciated and loved is our goal.
And, we do have some legalese that as a member you must agree to in order to join. This is pretty standard information and necessary to protect and promote our industry. Please read the section entitled,” Legal”, which holds our policies, procedures, terms and conditions.
Q. Are there any responsibilities?
A. Yes, join us in building the needlework community one LOOSE THREAD at a time. We would love for you to spread the word about LTS and our mission. Want to do more? Build the stitching community by:

Q. How do I renew?
A. Not to worry, when your current membership has expired you will receive an e-mail from Loose Thread Stitchers regarding your renewal. Please log in to the site and renew you membership, it’s as easy as that. Remember, Loose Thread Stitchers will NEVER send an e-mail asking for your private information. If you receive an e-mail requesting you to verify private information, please do not respond. Instead, forward to Loose Thread Stitchers.
