Loose Thread Stitchers is an online website for Stitchers and dedicated to Stitching Community where stitchers share their knowledge on Needlepoint Sewing Embroidery Knitting Cross Stitch Quilting Crochet etc.
Loose Thread Stitchers (LTS) began in 2003 with a singular goal: To create stitching retreats in the Philadelphia area. After months of research, planning and preparation LTS hosted our first retreat Spring of 2004. The weekend was a whirlwind of activities from a wonderfully talented teacher, to prizes, games and a top notch show and tell. We left our first retreat proud of all we accomplished and yet still feeling there has to be more.
Little did we know that the journey had just begun…. Over the past 4 years we invested tens of thousands of research hours to the needlework industry. We have polled thousands of needleworkers (both industry professionals and stitchers alike) nationwide and abroad discovering why needlework is so important in their lives and what we can do to enrich their needlework experience. Believe us when stitchers talk, sit and listen (get a comfy seat, a pen and paper ~ you will not be disappointed).
We were enthralled and overwhelmed with all the stories. Ask any stitcher and they will tell you that needlework is a part of their soul and spirit that needs to be fed each day. The needleworkers also told us that the ability to experience needlework in its best form was essential to life. More than anything, needleworkers wanted a central location that where they could find all needlework related offerings, services and products, while connecting with other needleworkers and industry professionals.
Loose Thread Stitchers was created to build the needlework community one LOOSE THREAD at a time. Loose Thread Stitchers is dedicated to growing the needlework industry by using the power of the internet to provide informative and interactive activities/services resulting in the largest active needlework society on the internet.
